Data Protection Act notice
Last updated May 3, 2026
This is a working stub published so JamLuma satisfies its duty under Jamaica’s Data Protection Act (2020) to publish a clear notice of how it processes personal data. The full notice is being drafted with Jamaican counsel and will replace this page before paid ticketing launches in production.
JamLuma is the data controller for the personal data you provide when you create an account, buy a ticket, check in to an event, or interact with our marketing channels. We process that data only for the purposes you have agreed to and retain it only as long as Jamaican law and our financial record-keeping obligations require.
Under the Act you have the right to be informed about how we use your data, to access a copy of it, to correct inaccuracies, to request erasure (subject to record-keeping obligations), and to withdraw consent for marketing at any time. We record the version and timestamp of every consent you give and honour withdrawals through the unsubscribe link in marketing emails or by writing to privacy@jamluma.com.
If you believe we have not handled your data appropriately, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Information Commissioner of Jamaica.
